Accessing the Government's Planning Portal

Searching the Derbyshire Dales District Council Planning Portal

1. Search Derbyshire Dales planning.
2. Click on View Planning Applications.
3. Click on Search for planning Applications online.
4. Enter a keyword, reference number, postcode or single line of the address.
5. If multiple applications (current and historical) pick the relevant one. Sometimes the history may be a useful source of detail and relevant points.
6. The Documents tab is the most useful heading. Click and then click again on View Associated documents.
7. Documents and representations are then listed. The most useful documents are usually:
 Design and Access statement
 Site layout plan – existing and proposed
 Consultation checklist – to see who else has been consulted or even who has been forgotten
 Consultation replies from key bodies such as the Environment Agency, Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, Derbyshire County Council Highways etc.

 After a decision has been made view the Officers Report for the recommendation to the Planning Committee and the Response to Applicant letter which will detail the decision of the Planning Committee including any agreed conditions.
